Department of Human Health and Medical Sciences, Hospital Administration Section has been established on November 1st, 2006. This section includes the various fields including medical safety management, nutrition support, infection control, the control of decubitus, medical economy, and health service, etc.. The aims of this section are to provide safe medical services to the patients as well as patients receive our medical services without any worry. The teams of these fields assemble in Kochi Medical School Hospital forming "safety collaboration unit". Our department is also within this unit. We would like to help to provide better medical services to the patients following the contribution to the community.

The research fields are also various, such as medical safety management, nutrition support, infectious control, the control of decubitus, medical economy, health service, and cooperation with other hospitals and clinics in the community. The current research themes of our department are "safety management of endoscopic surgery" and "safety management of cancer chemotherapy", both of which are very important and in the spotlight in Japan. However, we would like to expand our research fields after the settlement of the undermanned condition.
