A research group led by Professor Gyo Itani, Dr. Yuto Shiozaki, then a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Kuroshio-area Integrated Science, Assistant Professor Yumi Hemmi of Kyoto University Maizuru Fisheries Research Station, and Assistant Professor Ryutaro Goto of Kyoto University Seto Marine Laboratory, successfully collected a tapeworm body on a mud flat in the Seto Inland Sea after 88 years, and the results were published in the international scientific journal "Plankton & Benthos Research" on August 6, 2021.
人文社会科学系教育学部門の伊谷行教授、黒潮圏総合科学専攻博士課程3年生(当時)の塩崎祐斗さん、本学卒業生で京都大学舞鶴水産実験所の邉見由美助教と京都大学瀬戸臨海実験所の後藤龍太郎助教による研究グループが 、88年ぶりに瀬戸内海の干潟でサナダユムシの本体の採集に成功し、2021年8月6日付けで国際学術誌「Plankton & Benthos Research」に掲載されました。
