Kochi University-KIGAM
International Symposium:
To commemorate the 1st year of scientific research collaboration
between:
The Center for Advanced Marine Core Research, Kochi University (CMCR)
and
The Korean Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) |
Hosted by: Dr. Iwao Watanabe (Director of CMCR)
and
Convened by: Drs. Kazuto Kodama and Masafumi Murayama (CMCR)
Scope:
The main issues at this international symposium are:
1) To review the latest scientific achievements on paleoceanography,
paleogeography, geochronology and paleomagnetism by researchers
from both Institutions, from fundamental studies to geological,
chronological and environmental applications.
2) To discuss future collaborative joint scientific proposals between
researchers from both Institutions.
We sincerely hope that present symposium would lead to the establishment
of a broader academic network in the Asian Earth science communities.
Venue and Date:
The symposium will take place for two days, 21 and 22 February,
2008, at the Center for Advanced Marine Core Research, Kochi University. |
