Several interdisciplinary studies related to seabed mineral resources are conducted in this project.

(1)Development of new in-situ sensors working in deep sea environment for exploring seabed mineral resources;

(2) Chemical and paleomagnetic studies on rocks and water analysis to investigate crustal and earth activities;

(3) Synthesis of new functional materials by using critical metals.

In this project, our team engages in the development of novel organic and/or inorganic materials based on chemical technology as follows;
(1) Heterogeneous catalysts and photocatalysts toward environmental friendly and biomass utilized sustainable-society.
(2) Molecular sensing and diagnostic tools based on photo-functionalized organic and inorganic nanoparticles toward biomedical applications.
(3) Ceramics thin films and functional polymer films possessing unique properties.
