We cordially invite scientists, researchers, students and professionals from country members of the Kuroshio region, especially the participants of the 17th International Kuroshio Science Symposium to submit your manuscripts to our Kuroshio Science journal Special Issue (19-1).
Submit your manuscript for the special issue of Kuroshio Science (Vol. 19, No. 1) by 9 May 2025. In detail, please see the “Editorial Policy and Instructions for Authors” and "Call for Papers"

Participants are requested to make their own hotel reservations in Kochi City. We recommend booking a hotel near JR Kochi Station. For students, we can introduce student dormitories on the Asakura Campus (Dormitory room is 2100 yen per night)..

The Abstract format template (MS-Word format) can be downloaded HERE (MS-Word format). Please paste your abstract on this form, save it with the file name “presenter's first name_presenter's family name.docx” (e.g. “Satoshi_Kubota.docx”) and upload from “FILE REQUEST” site. Deadline is September 30th.

Ryuga-do Limestone Cave Tour |
Excursion (Ryuga-do Limestone Cave Tour)
Ryuga-do Cave is one of the three largest limestone caves in Japan. This cave is unique in that ruins from approximately 2,000 years ago were discovered. The total length of this cave is 4,000 m, but an approximately 1,000 m long route has been developed. We will take visitors on a tour of the cave, explaining the cave organisms and the stalactite dating results, which are currently underway at Kochi University.

Thank You for Your Publicizing of and Participation in the Symposium
The 14th International Symposium on Kuroshio Science, held on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2021, was successfully completed with a total of 287 participants from 63 institutions and universities in six countries. As related events, 65 participants from three countries attended the PHILAPKUS alumni meeting for Filipinos of the Kuroshio Science Program held on Monday, November 15, and 43 participants from four countries attended the Regional Revitalization Forum (How Does Regional Revitalization Confront Aging and Declining Populations? ~The Challenge of the Regional University~) research report meeting held on Wednesday, November 17, where lively discussions were held. we would like to express my gratitude to all those who helped in publicizing and presenting at this symposium.
