Scope

Hydrothermal systems are considered to be where life originated, and their evolution depended on tectonic evolution. Understanding of the evolution of hydrothermal systems has direct implications for the evolution of early life.

Purpose of Precambrian world 2009 symposium is to bring together international experts to discuss recent progress related to hydrothermal systems, microbial activity, tectonics, and environmental changes in the Precambrian. Those in Phanerozoic are also well within the scope of the symposium as keys to understand Precambrian.

The symposium provides good opportunities to the participants of diverse disciplines to exchange ideas and new information for future collaborations. We are looking forward to welcoming the world's leading experts on Precambrian world 2009 symposium in Fukuoka, Japan !

Symposium Styles and Fieldtrip
The symposium consists of a two day meeting with oral and poster presentations conducted as a single session venue. Pre- and post-symposium fieldtrips are being organized to introduce modern hydrothermal systems in Kyushu, Japan. The symposium will be organized for the following themes throughout the Earth history:
  • Hydrothermal system
  • Environmental changes
  • Microbial activity
  • Geochronology
  • Mineralization
  • Tectonic evolution
