| J-DESC (the Japanese Drilling Earth Science Consortium) has hosted a variety of core analysis courses since 2008 aiming to improve the skills of potential ocean-going scientists and technicians. Graduates and undergraduates have been particularly targeted for these courses. Participants gain practical knowledge of measurements and analytical instruments.
