　The Center jointly hosted a short course entitled ‘Sedimentology School 2007’,
　organized by the Sedimentological Society of Japan.

　Asst. Prof. Yuhji Yamamoto received the Obayashi Prize
　from the Society of Geomagnetism and Earth, Planetary and space Sciences.

　The Center jointly hosted the ‘Summer Science Camp 2007’ for high school students.

　Kochi University held an exhibition concerning the Kuroshio Current
　at the CUL-PORT in Kochi City. The Center participated in the exhibition.
